Social Ministry

The Social Ministry Committee is assigned the responsibilities for:

a. Determining financial and personal support to community service projects;

b. Making the church facilities more available for use by other community service organizations;

c. Support cooperative community projects with other local congregations and community organizations;

d. Developing strategies for involving members of the congregation in some of the major social issues of our day;

e. Finding ways to help poor and needy peoples in other parts of our nation and throughout the world;

f. Providing services for members with special physical needs, i.e., shut-ins, handicapped, and hospitalized;

g. Establishing short and long range goals for the social ministry programs and development of annual budget program objective achievement; and

h. Recruitment of committee members as may be needed.
