Lutheran World Relief – School Kits

“An intelligent mind acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.”  Proverbs 18:15

This scripture reminds us of the value of education in every community.  LWR school kits are a boost to children’s education in communities where poverty or disaster has limited the options for children to reach their potential.  School Kits contain basic, but essential, supplies to help children—and sometime adults—go to school.  Education leads to a better life for them, their families, and their communities.

For a list of contents for a school kit if you do not have the August newsletter, contact the church office.  Place completed kits in the designated box in the rear of Fellowship Hall by September 3.

OR… Help Ship School Kits: Delivering School kits to the children who most need them costs LWR about $1.40 per kit.  If you are not able to assemble Kits, you can consider giving to the Quilt and Kit Shipping Fund instead.  Make checks payable to St. Luke and mark your envelope Quilt and Kit Shipping Fund.
