A Letter From Pastor Frye
Friday of the Fourteenth Week after Pentecost
September 15, 2017
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
+ Grace and Peace to you.
I write today to share the news of decisions made recently regarding our shared ministry in light of the construction project. While every effort is made to communicate developments to you in a timely fashion, I am aware that for some it remains a surprise nonetheless. So, I invite your partnership in sharing this information in a timely and accurate way with those you know that may not receive email updates or may have not taken notice.
The contractor is poised to begin work on the current gathering area and nave. We have set the date of Sunday, October 8, 2017 to be our last worship service in the nave until the completion of the project. Beginning Sunday, October 15, we will have weekly Sunday morning services at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall and Wednesday evening services at 7:00 PM. The decision to add a second service was made realizing that the fellowship hall is not large enough to comfortably accommodate everyone at a single service. Wednesday evening was selected because it supplements well our practice of having mid-week services during Advent and Lent and provides those who are away over the weekend or have to work on weekends the opportunity to worship.
Your flexibility and patience throughout this process have been admirable and commendable. The disruption, uncertainty, inconvenience, and construction dust and dirt that we have had to contend with pales in comparison to what is being faced in the wake of the recent hurricanes in Texas and Florida. We have so much for which we can be truly grateful.
Throughout this project, if you find yourself curious about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me or any member of the building committee. We will make every effort to share information, provide updates, and respond to questions. Thank you for placing your trust in this process and for your on-going prayers and financial support. You have made a difference as we move forward with boldness and hope into the future God is preparing for us.
Yours in Christ,
Christopher Frye | Pastor
