Choir Director Wanted! – St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church

We are hiring a part-time Choir Director at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg, PA.

The Choir Director at St. Luke Lutheran Church will perform all duties/functions relevant to the choir music program. This includes working to coordinate all aspects of music for worship services of the congregation through the Worship and Music Committee, and consulting with the pastor as necessary in carrying out these duties for the smooth functioning of relevant parish activities. This is a 9 month position with summers off.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
– Plan/implement all aspects of the music for the choir in the liturgical services.

– Conduct the Sunday choir

– Encourage members to recruit new members.

– Handle organizational matters.

– Plan music, procure sufficient music copies as needed for choir.

– Conduct rehearsals, or arrange for substitute when unable to be present.

Job Type: Part-time (approximately 6-9 hours per week)
