Vacation Bible School

What is Vacation Bible School?

You may have heard other parents talking about sending their children to Vacation Bible School (fondly known as “VBS”).  Participants spend a few days during June, July or August learning more about the Bible through games, activities, crafts, snacks and music. VBS is a long-standing annual event that generations of families have enjoyed!

Who can attend VBS?

St. Luke’s doors are open to welcome all children in the community (up to 6th grade) to this traditional summer event. Participation is free!

How do we sign up?

We include specific instructions for children’s registration on each summer’s individual VBS page, as well as all the details related to dates, timing, and theme. Scroll down to find links for all of the VBS events on our website, sorted by year.

Can I help with VBS?

Yes! Adults and youth (grade 7 and older) are welcome to plan to spend time lending a hand at Vacation Bible School. St. Luke observes safe child laws and guidance, and helpers must be willing to obtain or maintain up to date clearances prior to the start VBS. Please contact Shelly, our Director of Education and Outreach to volunteer.

If you don’t think you’ll have time to help in person, donations are always welcome, too. We share a list of donation items on each summer’s individual VBS page.
